Top 25 Coaches' Poll released: SEC teams included in the poll are (2) LSU; (3) Florida; (13) Georgia; (14) Auburn; (15) Tennessee; (20) Arkansas.


I'd like to make my phone call now: Florida is giving Georgia a run for their money in the arrest department. This summer the Gators have had five players arrested.


LSU keeps bringing'em in: LSU received commitments from two top linebackers this week, adding to an already impressive class. Their class is currently ranked 15 by rivals.com.


Famed announcer expects Dogs to lose often: This week Larry Munson said "I think we're going to lose a lot of games," said the Dogs' legendary play-by-play man. "It's scary; it really is scary. I'm a worrier, but this is the most worried I've ever been."


Brent Schaeffer will not be the starting quarterback at Ole Miss: Highly recruited QB will not start for the Rebs this season. "The one-time Tennessee signal caller, just doesn't understand the level of commitment necessary to play quarterback at this level."


Arkansas receiver will transfer: "Wide receiver Andrew Norman was given his release to transfer Thursday, becoming the third player from Springdale High School to ask out of his scholarship."
Alabama receiver likely to give up football: "Alabama coach Nick Saban said Thursday that Tyrone Prothro has been taken off athletic scholarship and been given a medical scholarship waiver, an indication the once-spectacular Tide receiver may never play again. "
